Our Story
La Casa Verde was born from a simple idea: great drinks have the power to bring people together.
We’re Jessica Rodriguez and Eduardo Oceguera, Coachella Valley locals, proud parents to our son Eddie, and lifelong lovers of travel, hospitality, and unforgettable culinary experiences. We believe some of life’s best memories are created around a table, during a conversation, or while sharing a thoughtfully crafted drink.
Living in the Coachella Valley has shaped who we are. Every year, millions of visitors travel here from around the world seeking sunshine, relaxation, incredible hospitality, and experiences they’ll never forget. We wanted La Casa Verde to embody that same feeling—a place where every guest is welcomed like family, every drink is crafted with intention, and every visit feels like a small escape.
Our matcha journey began during a trip to Japan, where we experienced authentic ceremonial matcha and fell in love with the tradition, craftsmanship, and mindfulness behind every cup. That experience inspired us to bring those values home while blending them with the nostalgic flavors that have always connected us to our own roots.
Many of our signature drinks are inspired by our travels, but especially by the comforting flavors of our families’ hometowns throughout Jalisco, Mexico. We love reimagining familiar tastes through matcha, espresso, and tea—creating drinks that feel both exciting and deeply nostalgic.
The name La Casa Verde carries a special meaning. It was inspired by a historic gathering place in Jessica’s father’s hometown of Jalostotitlán, Jalisco. Since the 1800s, this beloved cantina has been much more than a place to eat or drink. It’s where neighbors gather after weddings, where families celebrate during the town’s annual fiestas, where mariachi fills the air, and where stories, laughter, and traditions are shared across generations. Everyone is welcomed, and everyone belongs.
That spirit became the foundation of La Casa Verde.
